Rain barrow |
It definitely is storm season ... Latimers was hit but another one this afternoon. Sooz said it sounded like a 747 was about to land and she was saying she did feel concerned! It dumped a fair amount of rain too - judging by the amount of water in the wheelbarrow. Except for leaf litter all over the place, it doesn't appear to have done any major damage. Meanwhile, over at the work site, very little rain fell at all ... I know because AC had organised a poll and we ended up with under 4mm in total. They didn't get much rain at Broadbeach either - athough M could see the storm clouds over Latimers from there.
On the way home from Trivia, we stopped in at the Bundall Mail Centre and posted our Chrissy cards, Mouse's puzzles for this week plus some mail for work. It's the most mail I've sent at one time since I used to send out press releases way back when (and that is a year a two back now). The power was still out by the time I arrived home but that was okay because we had a short turnaround before it was time to head in to the Southport RSL for Triva. I'm not sure whether it was because we were misfiring as a team, or because Anita is away or because the questions were harder but we weren't even near the Podium this evening. And there were no meat tray wins either even though both Sooz and Ni had tickets tonight.
And speaking of Christmas, Sooz had a busy day today (even though she wasn't at work) doing decorating ... and she's done a fantastic job! As we thought, it really is beinning to look a lot like Christmas!
