Tuesday - ROM, chops and Cyndi

Hopefully S will find some relief with her new pain control regime. We made it to the new GP (as recommended by Jo). Both S and I went and were very impressed with her thoroughness and (bedside) manner. She had some good suggestions and both S and I have some things to investigate before we next visit.

Dinner-time

While we were out and about, M jumped on ROM and did the lawn. After she was done, she noticed that there was a ding at the front of ROM, that the battery was out of its casing - and on its side. This went with what I'd noticed last time - a leak (which I thought was oil but which was in fact battery acid from the on-its-side), the front left headlight knocked out of its housing, and a detached hood bracket (also on the left side). on the left side did the lawn. ROM still works - luckily it started - but it's a mystery as to how it happened because neither M nor I have crashed it into anything - and to dislodge the battery (out of its well) it appears that it must have hit whatever it did with some force. Hmmm ... looks like it could be the work of a (not-so) mystery mower.

We had lovely little lamb chops for dinner. The furries seemed to enjoy them as well, although Pearl was the only one who actually had any. We offered some to Tinka (who had taken up a waiting position on the table - her mother would have been horrified to see her) - but she refused; and also to Maggie, who also came up on the table, at the same time as Tinka - but she was more interested in the green beans - that cat really has something about green food - she loves custard apples! I think I can honestly say this is the very first time I have seen both Tinka and Maggie on the table at the same time (what's that? there was time to take a photo?)

M may have something to say about the furries' table manners but she was out - enjoying (very much) the Cyndi Lauper concert at The Big House. It was, by all accounts, amazing and she even came off stage and wandered into the audience so people could get to see and hear her up close and personal!
