Saturday and sunshine!

Well if S didn't get location, I certainly didn't get time. She was trying to work out a time to speak with her Hong Kong-based brother and she asked me about the time difference. D'oh ... as always I reversed it ... even though I had looked it up on the iPhone world time application to check. She had suspected as much last night when she asked but it didn't occur to me until this morning as I lay in bed thinking "why hasn't that call come through". Ah well, as S said, at least we're good at other things.

Lemon tree - very pretty

Saturday = breakfast and today we went to Daniel Stuart; we were a smaller group than usual, just M, S and I. The construction water pumps were silent today so it made for a much quieter time than on our last visit. It was, as it always is, excellent. S had the Old Mates; M the Bruschetta Stack, and I had my favourite, bacon and eggs. Yum, Yum and Double Yum ... or would that be triple or quadruple Yum?

After breakfast, S wanted to go to Bunnings to get some more plants - so, off we went. I'm not sure which ones she got but she must have known what she was after because she wasn't in there that long. (Snow peas, lettuce, rhubarb.)

Ibis on patrol

The skies were clear today which is a shame in some ways because Choo-Choo Ma Ma has been rolling in mud and definitely needs a shower! If it doesn't rain, in not sure how she's going to get one.

Ni sent an email which I received this evening - I'd sent her a note the other day about the new Scrabble App for iPad - which now allows play in French. "I love it" she wrote back - as I knew she would - given she often stays up to the wee small hours of the morning playing Scrabble in French on her computer - but now she'll be able to do it on the iPad wherever she wants ... and she'll be able to do it next time she's in France! Hurrah ... yet another thing you can do on the iPad!

The lemon tree appears to have recovered from its recent cockatoo attacks and has a good crop of fruit on it as well as some new flowers. The grass is looking good too - and the Ibis was certainly enjoying looking for bugs (although possibly not having a shower) in the grey water run-off.

M is disappointed with Pearl's new heated pet bed - it appears not to have an automatic regulator and needs to be turned on and off to maintain a reasonable heat (not too hot, not too cold).

Tinka and Edmund

I'm not sure if she's going to persevere with it or just take it back ... I suppose there is a chance that it's a faulty unit (didn't think of that when she mentioned it this morning) - although Aldi's return policy doesn't require that (or it didn't used to).

Just when you thought Tinka couldn't possibly get any cuter ... she has. She's still hanging out with Edmund and spending a fair bit of time with him! The others aren't too bad either - Maggie was on Pearl's bed (not the new one) yesterday and Pearl was stretched out on the floor next to her. It's good they all get on so well, although Maggie still tries to sample Tlnka's food most days. Sometimes Tinka stands her ground; other times not but Pearl's always on alert to help out (finishing the dinners) as required. She was ready and willing to help S and I tonight too; S made Roast Chicken for dinner and Pearl was never far from us during the preparation, meal and cleanup.
