It's overcast and a bit cooler today and while it would have been just the day to see The Croods before it disappears from the big screen altogether, when I checked the program for the Nerang Cineplex l realised it was already too late. Thank goodness there are other cinemas in the area - and at least one of them still has The Croods - so that will be a project for before next Thursday when the movies change again.
M was out early this morning and as she lift Pearl came in to lie on the rug near S's side of the bed. Pearl often does that.
S was keen to have hot cakes for breakfast this morning so we trekked off to Maccas. While we were there S read an indepth piece on the Turkish situation. This is the first time she has really had a handle on it - and she does understand it more now - the conflict for democracy and secularism.
On the way home, we called in to the Post Office to check the mail and decided not to check M's box because hers, as we soon realised, was the car next to Lars in the car park. We ended up meeting her for a coffee (tea for her) and a catch-up.
Back home, S started on the washing, even though it was overcast. Chances are it won't get dry today but at least it has been done and is out.
I took a walk down to see the self-sown tomatoes and the bananas in the bag and they're all progressing very nicely - which is a bit of a shame since Jungle John has been booked for next week and the days of the tomato plants are definitely numbered! He will be instructed to clean out the beds - I'm not sure what's planned for them but we'll find out next week.
M hasn't returned the Heated Pet Bed to Aldi yet, but she was saying that Pearl has popped into it a couple of times to humour her. No-one was expecting Tinka to find it, and that's where she is now ... and she shows no sign of coming back to her usual sleeping spot. It will be odd being able to put our legs out straight in the bed tonight without worrying about disturbing Tink.
