 No surprise here but we were back at The Big House this evening for the last day of Swipestakes and to have a bite to eat at Spinners.  The big news there is that Frederic,  the Head of the Casino,  is moving on - to Star City in Sydney.  The guy who was in charge of Star City - according to various newspaper reports - has been sacked/resigned.  Sexual harrassment was mentioned in some of the articles,  and a line of white powder in another,  but this all appears to be speculation.  The timing is interesting - news of the previous chief leaving was in the papers this morning - and news of Frederic's new appointment only hit the airwaves at 7am. The only reason I can come up with for the fast turnaround (he's only been at Jupiters for a year) is that he hates the new car parking arrangements as much as the rest of us!

M went off to Brisbane today for a Seminar and in her travels found two very nice coffee shops - and she brought back presents - wonderful cakey things - yummmm - from French Twist.   She took the train up and managed to fit in a walk through the city,  so she was very happy.  She didn't fall in to the Pen Shop - which is what what have happened if I had gone (perhaps better that I'm locked in at work all day!).  

It was fine enough this afternoon to jump onto ROM and as well at the bits of the house yard that M hadn't mowed when testing the fixed drive belt yesterday, I also ventured into Hermes yard to mow half of that.   Luckily there were no horses there or it would have been a much less relaxing exercise than it turned out to be.  They did bring Hermes' paddock mate back in - but that was after I'd mowed.   As I was doing it,  I couldn't resist thinking about mowing very large letters into (out of) the grass - which would be visible from passing planes - well,  maybe not,  maybe just balloons floating over.
