It was Family & Friends dinner tonight and we celebrated Lu's birthday even though it's not until Sunday. Mi and F are going to Brisbane then, so we pulled it forward (back?) to this evening. E and his family, and F's father, came as well so we had a fair-sized gathering. Two-year-old La, who is still not talking, was there also and his father had him doing practice martial arts training moves - and as he executed the moves, E would throw balls to him. And there were lots of balls. La keeps a huge bag of plastic coloured balls there and he likes tipping them out and throwing them to people. He has a good arm (but I don't want him playing cricket E told the assembled throng).
Mi, ever the hostess, as well as preparing stir fry for dinner, had prepared two cakes - cheesecake and a gluten-free chocolate cake - for the birthday celebrations.
The Great K didn't come to dinner but he did ring M (or was that yesterday?) about her giving him a lift to the airport when he goes home on semester break in a couple of weeks time. He continues to be very busy with his studies - and pulling some very long hours which leave him quite tired.
The Latimers animals are all well, and being very good about observing lock-down.
