Friday

Little H went to the movies with Uncle Flam and the boys after Mosque and saw "The Green Lantern" - and has declared it "the best movie" he has ever seen. What makes a film so? Is it because of the film or is something that the viewer brings to it and/or something which resonates in them?

Family and Friends dinner was back at Mecca Bah tonight. I don't know what they've done there but it was much noisier than I remember - almost too loud to be able to hold a decent conversation with the people sitting next to you let alone around the table. But the food (ordered by Mi and M - thank you - great choices) was fantastic as always - and everyone seemed to be in fine form. Sometimes though, I do wish Friday night dinner could be on another night - and not at the end of the week - especially if it has been a tiring week. But, I guess that's what Family & Friends dinner is about - just being able to "be" at the end of the week rather than having to ... well, anything besides that. It's good to be able to do that especially with such good folk.

The Great K wasn't there tonight - I think he may still be knee-deep in his studies - which he seems determined to do well at. He has semester break coming up and I think he has already spoken to M about giving him a lift to the airport as he intends to go home to Sydney for a couple of weeks. He's going to come back the week before semester starts as he has to do some training so he can do his psychology clinicals next time around. And I must let him know that I have those movies for him.
