S and I were closer to home and went to Advancetown Hotel for dinner. We had been planning to go to Main Beach/The Spit and have fish and chips from Peters Seafood but by the time I arrived home, a wind had come up and we both decided it was going to be a bit cool to eat "out". And, as it turns out, if we hadn't gone to the pub, we wouldn't have played the spot question in trivia and we wouldn't have won a six-pack of beer. Talk about decisions! You get to pick your own six-pack and since neither S nor I is a beer aficionado we were a bit lost. Suggestions by a woman who was trying to be helpful were falling on uneducated ears until she mentioned one that S and I recognised from advertising - and that was it. It's now safely nestled in the back fridge waiting for someone to visit who drinks beer, or Summer and shandies (mmmm ... Beer and lemonade), or to take to a something-or-other where people drink beer!
The television repair people came today to take it away and give a quote on it's repair. It certainly is different without it there - both in terms of how different the room looks without it and because you just can't watch television there. So, since S couldn't watch lifestyle programs, she decided to read in bed. At some point we realised that, just like S, the cats had also vacated the living room so we have surmised that they like the television and/or sitting with S on the couch! But they all came in as called for lockdown!
