Well, I'm not sure what the most disappointing thing about today was ... that the national Census seems to be flawed or that the television went on the blink/fritz/stopped working just when "Modern Family" was coming back on? Well, at least S isn't missing "MasterChef" ... how disappointed would she have been if the set had stopped working on Sunday night when the final was on? And as someone asked on radio - what's the difference between a Final, a Grand Final, and a Grand(e) Finale? Tuesday 9 August

National Census Day was today - where everyone in the land stands up to be counted ... or in our case, sits down at the computer to lodge their eCensus online. S had put her hand up for the task - and while she would have preferred to have done it on the iPad, we weren't sure that the eCensus website had been optimised for this technology - so she used the PC. Which is strange because the Census form and questions weren't ... PC.

Otherwise, all is well at Latimers. Doug was here this afternoon doing some work in the back shed - and did he mention poison? - and we were able to ask after his SO who he says is well and happy. He is going to send us the photographs she took on the night they came to dinner at Mouse's (we are still looking for photographs of Me and her necklace).
