Not the rapture! |

We had a late start this morning; mine was because I didn't set the alarm because it's Saturday; S's was because she had another less than wonderful night last night and was just grabbing a few more minutes sleep before we set out for the day. We had been planning to go to the little cafe near the Post Office for breakfast. They do a good bacon (for those of us who like bacon). On the way in we talked about going somewhere else, just for a change, but decided we were probably be too late for breakfast if we went further afield than Nerang ... until M (who had not been raptured but had gone to Deep Water Running) called us to say she was trying out BSKT; she had read the review in the Gold Coast Bulletin a couple of weeks ago. I'd seen it too but I couldn't remember what it was, or where, so it's good she kept the clipping and sent us the address and a photograph of it.

We made it to BKST just before the breakfast session closed - but it was good M had a contingency plan - she was going to order for us if we weren't there on time (and why was it that we were stopped by every red light along the Gold Coast Highway on the way there). So iinstead of having Navajo Eggs or the BBB (BSKT Big Breakfast) - M's choices for us - we had eggs and ham. It was all good -even though their crossword on the back of the menu was fairly hard ... until M (and kudos to her) worked out that BSKT stood for Biscuit. She had seen ginger biscuits on the counter, where, she said, there would normally be lollies. In the end, we didn't finish it, although we did do a couple of rounds of Trivia - from the Sydney Morning Herald and from the puzzle magazine M had with her.

After brunch, M went off to do what she does on a fine Saturday, as well as swiping our cards at The Big House. There was one winner today apparently ... me! Thanks M.
Meanwhile, back at Latimers, S, who was not feeling absolutely well, went back to bed to rest. While she did that, I took the camera out the front to watch the swallows' building site. The nest has come along a lot in the last couple of days. And once the camera was out, I took a few more photographs as well.
When M arrived home, she went straight out the front with the pruning sheers to do some work on the tree out there ... and then she took ROM out to mow the verge. Si and Ca were out feeding the horses when she was doing this and they stopped to have a chat and to watch. Pearl had been helping M but she interrupted her branch carrying to come for a walk to B's with me. The Rock Stars truck was back but because I had her with me, I didn't go up to take photographs of them (although I did have the camera with me). I had taken a photograph of them leaving this morning though.
