We had a lovely day today with Ha and Ma who are visiting the Gold Coast this week. Ma was here to sit an oral exam for her Membership to the Vet Society. She's been a vet for 19 years and is ready to go the next step, but not necessarily the step after that which would be studying to be a Fellow of the Society. She will find out tomorrow if she's passed the Oral.
Hopefully we were able to keep her mind off it for the day. M had a great idea - that we should take them to the Murwillumbah Art Gallery where the Ben Quilty Exhibition Out of Afghanistan is on. As it turns out, they had seen it before but they were happy to see it again - and to see if they could get the book of the exhibition - which the Gallery didn't have but they are ordering it in and will send it to them.
We lunched at the Gallery - with a magnificent view of the river and Mt Warning. It was absolutely glorious - especially as the rain held off while we had lunch, and then, later as we walked along the path at Currumbin Beach - which was as magnificent as ever. There appeared to be a storm far out to Sea - and, closer to shore, a rainbow!
After there, we brought them back to Latimers so they could see the Valley. And have a cuppa. It's always good to have a cuppa!
M gave them a lift back into their digs in Surfers Paradise, S and I had a quiet night in - no CSP for me tonight as I'd had a big day and want to be well enough for the weekend.
