The wet weather warnings are in place and it will be interesting to see if the forecasters are right this time. Let’s hope not, because if they are we are in for a very large amount of rain in a very short space of time. It’s worse on some parts of the Coast than others of course, with some reporting flooding already.
I’d hate to be here on holidays – NSW school children have still not gone back and there are sure to be lots of holidaying families here on the Coast – and it can’t be much fun for them. The shopping centres are full – the only dry place to be – except for the movie cinemas etc Of course, it’s not just ;people from NSW – closer to home, there’s also E and the children holidaying here from New Zealand. They were planning to go to Wet and Wild today, but that didn’t happen – it was still raining. I’m not sure if even the theme parks are able to be open today. I think MovieWorld has been closed only a few times in the twenty years since it opened.
