Wednesday

It looks like yesterday's movie struck a (fashion) chord because S,  M and Mouse were reportedly all wearing George Clooney shirts today.   Hopefully they brightened up the outlook of their fellow Bingo players!  And it seems to have helped because both M and S won games - Mouse, shirt notwithstanding, and E (on a PET machine) were not as fortunate. Here's hoping they had a good time anyway.

It was fine today mostly and I noted, as I was leaving the house, that there was a big yellow thing in the sky and I was going to investigate ... that's how long it seems since the sun's shone on Latimers!  It's supposed to be fine tomorrow so we may get some washing done - either here or at the laundromat, depending on whether Mr Pumpman comes to increase the pressure - not something that folk on town water often have to worry about.

Wednesday night is CSP night this week - preceded by a game of "fastest finger" for M who just made her heat - she had been told 4:30 but it was actually 4:20 (was she down for consecutive per chance?) and luckily they were running behind - so she made it into the seat for the heat at 4:25. And better still, she qualified for the semifinals tomorrow. Fingers crossed - except for her as she needs as many free fingers as she can to work the machine!

CSP has still not been won - not the big one anyway but it does appear a couple of 10%s have (straight flush). We played for a while (after I finished the puzzles for Mouse) and even thoughnboth M and I were close a couple of times to straight or flushes we weren't close enough to a straight flush or the big kahuna (more George Clooney?) the Royal Flush.

But there was good news today - in Wiggle World.  Greg,  the Yellow Wiggle,  who had to leave the group five years ago for health reasons,  has returned!  While Sam did a great day standing in for him,  it's great to have the original group back together again!

I had an unexpected start to the morning - when I slowed for the first roundabout on the main road, a kangaroo came bounding through.  It was a truly magnificent sight!

Not so good is that they've started work on the road near the school again.   This means they may be on track for finishing it on schedule - early 2012 - whatever that means!
