Sunday

The Skype call with Tr went well this morning although it seemed to be more of a grazing conversation in that we didn't talk about anything really serious, mostly our current viewing proclivities - and there was something about luggage in there as well. The interweb truly has changed the way we shop - she had seen a suitcase she really liked and had wanted to buy it, but her partner talked her out of the on-the-spot purchase, but as soon as they arrived home, Tr went to the interweb to see if she could find it on-line, hopefully cheaper! She did but now she's looking for an even better deal!

There was much talk at the Markets this morning of the various trips folk are planning to take in the near future. Mouse and M will be the first away - they're off in a couple of weeks, then A and M, followed shortly thereafter by Mi. But, they won't all be gone at the same time . . . there will always be someone there to remind us (of who's away).

M made a nice haul with mandarins this morning and they were nice - so nice that their number had been seriously depleted by the time we packed up to leave - and yes it was a little later today because the markets are open longer and we just ... lingered and chatted. N and I were doing iPad things and time really does fly when there's technology on the table. And, of course, we werre still finishing off the cherry slice cake A had baked fresh this morning ... I don't know how she gets up so early on the weekend and is still so cheery! M is looking cheerier too - and I meant to ask him how his dental surgery is progressing. It has been a mammoth effort - and hopefully something he won't need to go through ever again.

Then we went our separate ways - and S and I ended up at The Gropers Wife in Carrara where we overheard this: "Angry Birds; are they a group?" I don't think the children the woman was sitting with knew what to make of that. However, if she had been at intelligent trivia with us on Monday night she would have known it was the most downloaded App in 2011. And knowing that, I couldn't help but wonder what was leading the field for 2012.
