The gale force winds we were supposed to get last night on the Coast didn't eventuate here at Latimers so everything is still where it should be. It's always a good way to start the day!
Except for a quick trip out to gather supplies, I had a day in. It was a nice change, as it was for S who didn't go out at all. M did bring back coffee after her Deep Water Running excursion (thanks M!), and she was home for a while before she was off again, this time in the 4-wheel drive, to help Az with something for Ne. She's good like that, always willing to help.
Moon over Latimers |
S and I did have Mouse leftovers for dinner - and, as is usually the case, they were even better second time round. S made mashed potato (divine!!) to go with the stuffed onions and rissoles, and some green beans which Maggie, the cat who loves green things, missed by ''that" much!
We watched a huge yellow moon rise over the trees at the back of Latimer s... a truly heart-lifting sight (which I didn't quite capture on the camera).
S, quite uncharacteristically, is feeling the cold at the moment and has decided she needs a blanket under the doona, Amazingly (but not really surprisingly!) Tinka wanted to help re-make the bed in the new configuration - and could not be dissuaded that three really is a crowd when it comes to bed-making, especially when the third is a cat! But she had a good time, and we finally did manage to get it done ... around, over and beside her! Thanks Tinka!
