Maggie stood looking out the door and thought better of it... no she wouldn't be going outside into the rain this morning. Yes, it is still raining here at Latimers and it doesn't look as though it's going to stop any time soon!
The good news is that the water is still on which means (touch wood - yes we're still doing that) the bore pump is still on-line and operational. That's been fabulous given we all wanted to keep having (inside) showers while EE and ER were here.
On the road again |
Hermes came over to the fence while EE was out the back this morning. She took a photo of him - and then some more as I gave him carrots - I'm not sure where Pearl was while this was happening because we know she's usually very fond of a carrot but this time she was nowhere to be seen.
EE and ER finally made it away on the next leg of their mobile home tour just before lunchtime. They are on the way to Nimbin to meet up with some friends there before starting their real trek southward back to Sydney via Katoomba. Being more adventurous than me, even though EE has likened driving the mobile home to driving a bouncy castle, they took the road through the Mountains to Nimbin. S has been that way with brother Mi and says it is very scenic and beautiful - and just a little windy - as in full of twists and bends as opposed to winds. We had a quiet afternoon after they left - or rather S did; I was off. out and about doing some errands ... and it is amazing how long they can take!
Pearl - waiting for ... |
Tuesday night is "New Tricks'' night and M and S watched it but unlike in the last few days, there was only the clicking of one set of knitting needles coming from the television area. I don't think M is that keen to pick up a knitting needle although word is that An is ... but more on that tomorrow.
In the meantime, it appears the rain has stopped ... it looks like EE and ER took it with them - and if that is the case, hopefully they will manage to shake it!
