I wasn't really expecting the pinch and the punch which S landed on me this morning but it wasn't totally out of place - it being the first of the month and all. I did resist responding with a hit and a kick for being so quick though - primarily because it would have seemed a bit petty but also because I couldn't remember exactly what the correct response was - and I would have been wrong as it turns out because it is really a "flick and a kick". Then there's the whole "rabbit, rabbit" thing which I won't go into here ... although there's no doubt that all of us could use some luck - but not at the expense of others.
Sunday again. It seems to come around awfully quickly these days - but not quickly enough that it meant I could comfortably ROM the yard on the 2.5 setting as planned - before the rain thwarted my afternoon mowing plans last week.
The Markets were great this morning - although a little shorter than usual because the closing time has moved an hour earlier because of the end of daylight savings in NSW (where some of the market folk hail from). A had cooked - the most fantastic biscuits from one of her mother's recipes - and whenever she makes them she remembers her. It's a wonderful thing to do. And speaking of mothers ... well, actually daughters, N was there too - so we were able to wish her safe and happy travels - she's off to New York later this week for work but hopefully she will get some play in as well - this will be her first time to The Big Apple!
S and I took ourselves off to Peter's Fish Markets for lunch afterwards - looking forward to sitting, eating the best seafood on the Coast, watching the water. Well, we did, but it was after a longish wait as we weren't the only ones who had had that idea. The line was literally out the door and the Security guy was doing serious people traffic control at the door. But it was a good lead-in to the afternoon which including a quick power nap for me (17 minutes), mowing, some blogging (the Blogging A-Z Challenge started today), and some trivia practice (thanks to the "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" app on the iPad.
M was off with Mouse to a formal dinner at The Big House this evening. She posted a photo on FaceBook and it looked amazing - and according to the remark with it, the food wasn't bad either.
Meanwhile, back at Latimers, the furries were lounging wherever they could find a spot and spending time coming in and out of the television viewing area (just as well they're not being tracked by the Neilsen box too!) - thankfully none of them were there for the 60 Minutes segment on the teenage girls who are exorcists - that would have been way too scary for them!
