Thursday

It's a bit rough when you can't get a spot at the CSP table! We called in as soon as we reached the Casino (after the great swipings, of course) ... no spots available at the front table and the other table was not yet open ... it usually opens at 8 and we were still nearly an hour away from that. We went upstairs for a cup of coffee ... noting that it's another Thursday night with very few people around up there ... and then back downstairs ... no spots still. So, dinner at Spinners - where M's $25 Food and Beverage Voucher, and discount with her card, covered dinner nicely ... it came to $24 and some cents! Then back to the table ... and still no spots ... so back upstairs for another beverage, some roulette watching and then home.

Sooz worked again today - this time in Labrador (where she'd been on Tuesday) except today some of the residents were throwing themselves into Halloween festivities rather than being available to do the interviews with Sooz. This means she missed out on one of the participants and will need to go back - she's thinking she could pop in at some point on Saturday ... once she's checked the resident isn't planning to be out and about on the day. That's doable ... because now I have all the music and most of the photos for An's preso on the iPad, I can work on it anywhere!

Well, it's been confirmed ... there are snakes about. AC, one of the other Site Admins at work, rang back to the office while she was out on an errand this morning to say she had just run over a snake's tail and she thought it would be a good idea if the Environment guy went out and checked it was okay. Tom was out at the time so he couldn't - but I don't know if I would have wanted to go out ... she knew it was a yellow-bellied something or other because she saw its underside as it was rearing up at her car. As M said as I was telling her about it this evening, it was probably guarding young. I'm intending to park my car down the other end of the street tomorrow - so I don't have to walk past the spot ... believe me, when I did this afternoon, I was on very high alert.

The great news yesterday was that Tinka's bloods have come back and are good and The Tevs don't want to see her again for 3 months.

The not so good news was that David has heard back about his uni course, and the results are not encouraging. Word is that he will be appealing the Board's decision. We'e not sure what the timeframes for the next steps are hopefully they'll keep us in the loop.

Sooz's vege garden is looking geat at the moment. It's a pity we didnt get more rain the other day ... the plants would have loved it!
