Fl was off celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary tonight and thought that was a good enough reason to miss Trivia. While we wish them well, it isn't really but in a way it was good he wasn't there to see us manage our lowest score ever for an individual round. That would be 1 out of a possible 10. The only good thing about it was that we had definitely decided not to take it as a bonus round - thereby saving ourselves the embarrassment of a score for the round of 2 out of 30! What's that word that St loves to bandy around at Trivia ... mediocre. Yes, we certainly reached those heady heights tonight.

The tourists would have been well-placed to be out on the Crossing Road this evening - it was a perfect night with the sky filled with stars - and not a cloud to be seen. There weren't any though - tourists that is - which is good because sometimes I worry about them being out in the dark ... with the snakes out there with them - but it's probably a bit cold for them now.

It was another busy day at work today. We're now in the immediate lead-up to the End of Month and Br and I are working as fast as we can to get as much as we can into the system. That will make the EoM accounts a bit easier. Hopefully (she said as positively as she was able).

Pearl and Sooz had an altercation this evening - Sooz turned her back while Maggie was eating so she could call Tinka in ... and Pearl muscled Maggie out of the way and started eating her dinner. Hmmm. Not good enough. She was taking no notice of Sooz so, and perhaps it was bad timing, I stepped in and gave her the "she's not #1" scruff. I don't like doing it to her but someone has to and I got the distinct impression that Sooz didn't want to be it. She'd had a busy and distressing day on some levels - after talking with her Mum, and then worrying about what price we should put as a reserve on our flat which goes to auction on Saturday. The good news is that we are getting closer to a decision.

Otherwise all is well here at Latimers ... except Sooz really misses the television in the living room. She is watching in M's room when she needs to - but that means that Maggie isn't with her having her couch cuddle.
